Harvard University Recycling

We worked with Harvard University to reduce the number of big trucks lumbering around the pedestrian walkways in Harvard Yard. For Student Move-out Weekend, we built this trailer and hitched it on to one of our trikes to maximize our carrying capacity. This pilot project was to consolidate the Re-Useable Items students were donating to Harvard Habitat for Humanity. We hauled 40-50 yards of stuff in about 8 hours. Couches, refrigerators, shelving units, futon frames, bags and bags of clothing, books, etc. See more pics here!

We also built a special rig for hauling these recycling toters around Harvard University Campus. This pedal-truck has a retractable ramp and a winch for pulling the containers up into the trike bed.

TAZA Chococycle (mobile vending cart)

Taza Chocolate is known for the orange mexican trike they ride to the farmers’ markets to vend their outstanding chocolate products, this year they wanted to kick it up a notch. We outfitted the rig with a removeable awning, a custom cabinet with fold-out counter-tops, insulated coolers, shelves and a drawer. We also installed an electrical system for powering a blender, lights and a stereo!

Boston Organics

We partnered with grocery delivery company Boston Organics for over a year, educating them about Cargo Trike delivery and helping them replace some of their van deliveries with Human Power! We built custom cargo boxes on our trikes to better accommodate their particular sized boxes and to maximize the cargo capacity of the vehicles. Boston Organics now has their very own pedal-truck as part of their delivery fleet and they have their own staff person to ride it.
