I just said that because I put new brake pads on 3 trikes today in case you’re wondering. So, you think you can beat the rush and make it around town to do your errands, huh? Well, I will challenge you… that is unless you are riding a bike. I got to do a multitude of tasks today including riding a bike really fast. According to my Cateye speedometer, I hit 28 mph. I was still legal with the speed limit (25) but it was sure great taking the full lane and not having someone tailgate. Or would I call that pannier me? Hmmm… I’ll have to think about that one. I also got to deliver some great (FULL) boxes of fresh vegetables from the farms to lucky residents of Cambridge and jam out in the shop while getting my hands greasy. I really like to make things work better and try to fix issues. I guess thats a good trait to have? So if you’ve noticed… It stopped raining!!! I looked at the weather schedule (don’t believe it) but it says clear skies through the weekend! You know what that means… You should get on that ol’ bike of yours and cruise up the coast to Salem (Only 18 miles) with a great bunch of folks from Bikes Not Bombs) and show that you are sick of old technologies, dirty air, and polluted waterways. Check this out HERE.

Oh, I almost forgot the best part of my day. So, while cruising around Tufts on three wheels I passed some construction and was questioned by an officer what I deliver while riding my sweet pedal-truck. I said… Local farm vegetables, freshly created batches of cheese, organic stone ground chocolate, books, tea, other beverages and then I ran out of breath. The officer then said jokingly with his distinct Boston accent, You got Halibut in there too? And guess what I said? Well, THAT WAS YESTERDAY!!! I guess we can deliver it all! By the way I actually delivered two freshly caught Halibut from Cape Ann Fresh Catch and I am sure the residents who found it in their coolers were extremely delighted. I also got to deliver some fresh frozen cuts of meat from Austin Brothers Farm to some lucky families. I have a share too and split it with my roommates and its a delight to come up with new meals at home every week. Plus I know where my food comes from and I get to talk to the people who provide it for me. How about that.

Oh, and I had a horrible experience at a supermarket today trying to find RICE. My suggestion for you… don’t go the supermarket. Buy from people you know or want to know. I’m not going to elaborate.

Whew. Thats about it. If you’re reading this tonight and want to go for a morning cruise, meet me behind Mariposa Bakery on Green Street in Central Square tomorrow at 5:15 AM. I’ll be there. We can grab some coffee after the ride at 7:15. Nighty Night!
