Today took me downtown for some Taza chocolate and Fiore di Nonno mozzarella cheese deliveries as you can see in the reflection in the façade of the John Hancock building on Clarendon Street. Well, you can’t see the chocolate or cheese… and you have to take my word that that’s me on the trike and that I am indeed downtown. You know, with Photoshop these days, you can never really be sure.
I probably rode about 125 miles this week – 50 miles commuting and 75 on the trike, so I was happy to see Wenzday, Erik and Jessie sitting outside the shop entrance enjoying some frosty beverages when I returned from my long and winding route at 6 p.m.
On my trek today I met up with a friend and former co-worker from the Cape Cod Times, Kay, who was in town from San Francisco working at her home office in Back Bay. I called her while I was riding down Boylston, and Kay was able to come down for a few minutes to say hi and catch up. All in a day’s work.
