This morning I did my deliveries and then came home to do some Spring Cleaning, the amount of trash and recycling on the curb in front of our house today was at least 3x the usual, I really cleaned out the basement. The only think left to toss out is some rugs and a wheelchair previous tenants left behind.  After my cleaning spree, I walked to Central Square and grabbed a cappuccino at Cafe Luna, which was eh not that great. At least my view was pretty while I drank it outside.

Afterward, I went into Cambrige Bicycle to get Look pedals and bicycle shoes, I went with the Mavic Avenair’s. Jason suggested I get them in white because “They make me like pro” and I felt they matched my glasses well.

I ended up getting the wrong cleats so I had to go back on my way to Alewife to meet up with a friend to ride out to Concord. I got the best compliment I’ve had in a long time, from a dude, Craig Roth said “You look good in a kit, about time” I feel that I have gotten his seal of approval, I am not an official racer/roadie. Decked out in my OrganicAthlete kit I feel full of confidence because I not only riding for personal fitness, happiness, but also spreading the message (it does say Go Vegan! on the ass of my bibshorts.)

The ride out to Concord was really nice, took the bike path to Route 62 into Concord for lunch and then back, definitely want a bigger group next time so we can picnic lunch it up. Former fixed gear commuter and alley cat racer, now spandex wearing ultegra and dura ace using bike nut, I still feel steel frames is the way to go and laugh at carbon, but I’m talking about shaving my legs, I am a roadie!
