I forgot what daylight looks like
So I have to be the only bike messenger in Boston whose out before the sun rises working. On my way to Petsi Pies in Porter Square of Cambridge I pass no other bikers once and a while a roadie doing a training ride before work. There are next to no cars, and the world is in some kinda nuclear winter Mad Max kinda state. Then I make my first delivery to Zing’s which is part of Porter Square Bookstore and the sky turns dark blue, which is beautiful I may add. On my sprint down Washington Street towards Inman Square I pick up speed and think about how I am going to kick butt this year in the name of OrganicAthlete. Those other Cat 5 and 4 guys have nothing on me. I spent my winter pedaling a 250lb bike with 600 lbs of cargo plus my own body weight. I’ll be in the Tour de France before I’m 30, I swear!

Once I hit North Station the sun is up, I pass some cars by the Musuem of Science and I make my delivery at Equal Exchange Cafe. At this point my day on the delivery bike is almost over, I turn around and stop by Zigo in Kendal Square on my way home to make my last delivery before 7am, rolling back into Union Square Somerville around 715ih. I keep running into John from Boston Organics at the interesection of Land’s Blvd by the Musuem of Science Parking Garage, he’s one really awesome dude and we joke while at the red light from different sides of the intersection.

Then I’m home its not even 730am, I have breakfast with my fiance, goof off on the internet and play some chess before going to work all day at the bike shop. Life is good.
