The payback for wasting time taking freight elevators to the tops of tall buildings in Boston is the view from office kitchens. This particular cell cam perspective is from the 40th floor of 28 State Street, looking west past the frozen Charles River into Cambridge.
These “time-wasters” weren’t a huge concern for individual drivers when we were getting paid hourly. But with the recent change in driver pay structure — we’re now getting paid per delivery — speed has suddenly become fashionable. Go figure!
Wednesday was another sloppy Cambridge adventure. What started as a pleasant winter snowstorm ended up a soggy, bone-chilling rain. Thankfully it was a short trip back to the new Union Square shop at the end of the day… and a hot chocolate from the Sherman Café waiting there for me. Thanks Wenzday!
